* directly accountable for budget performance relating to all primary transport movements in ioi (including export logistics from ireland and tanker movements. * continuous review of the network to ensure it remains relevant and cost effective, recommending and delivering improvements as they occur. * managing the contractor network ensuring that expected levels of service & efficiency are maintained at all times. * lead the agenda on container management working with commercial and the manufacturing sites to effectively minimise cost of container replacement (keg/glass/pallet/canister. * working with the warehouse and planning teams to develop and introduce initiatives that will support group stock policies and manufacturing efficiencies. * support commercial teams in delivering end customer requirements at sustainable levels of cost. qualifications: * degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline desirable. * project management and/or business management qualification desirable. experience: * relevant operational and leadership management experience in warehousing and logistics essential. * experience of the market and the customer service experience expected by end customer essential. * experience of change management preferred. * commercially astute, able to maintain and drive the business against targets and forecasts. * cost management, and planning and building business cases for investments. please contact fearghal keane @ fearghal.keane@cpl.ie. this job originally appeared on recruitireland.com.
