Our client, a GMP regulated manufacturing company are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join their team for a contract role. The Role: Manage the Quality Control Plan for sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process, finished product and utilities; ensuring testing is performed in accordance with plant production and product needs. Plan, manage and review the activities and outputs of the QC team, setting clear and realistic targets in a timely manner. Manage testing plans based on customer and regulatory requirements and set up system master plans. Develop and conduct testing programs to assess policies, procedures and controls’ standards and compliance. Develop, implement and monitor control standards and statistical process control regimes related to analysis in order to assure quality results consistency and accuracy. Provide timely and accurate data to Production and other functions to inform decision making in the production environment. Ensure inspection readiness status by engaging actively with all key departments and ensure corrective and preventative actions related to quality control are in place and addressed in a timely manner. Monitor 3rd party contract and internal analysis providers against service level agreement commitments. Oversee accreditation regime for analysis assuring analytical accuracy and delivery of customer requirements. Review and approval of laboratory investigations/deviations and RCA. Develop, implement and manage near line analysis training and capability confirmation. Working with the Production team plan, and prioritise the activities of the production teams assigned to quality/lab related activities within the shift and provide feedback to the production management team on the performance of the Production Specialists in the Quality/Lab environment. Ensure the lab and its equipment are organized and maintained in line with the Plant standards. Contribute to the development of site culture and act as an ambassador for Plant values and behaviours. Act as role model in the implementation of site cleanliness and hygiene standards. The Person: Third Level Degree in Science or equivalent. 5 years experience in In-process Lab environment with a minimum of 3 of these years in a management role. Industry Lab experience in the Food & Beverage sector. Highly skilled in troubleshooting, fault finding & root cause analysis on plant/process issues. Good working knowledge of GMP and GLP best practices. Experience operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team. Motivated and self driven. Excellent influencing skills.
