Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for a CNC Lathe Programmer / Setter to join their team. If you have experience of programming and setting CNC lathes, this is a great opportunity to take on your next challenge with a highly successful business. As a CNC Lathe Programmer / Setter, you will set and operate a CNC lathe to produce a range of high quality precision parts. Reporting to the Team Leader, your duties will involve: - Working from drawings and using measuring equipment. - Setting and operating multi axis CNC lathes. - Inspecting the quality of your work. - Working in a safe manner at all times. To be considered, you must have: - At least two years’ experience in a CNC lathe programming and setting environment. - Experience of sub-spindle, multi-turret and live tooling. - A comprehensive understanding of G code and the ability to compile and edit CNC programs. - A thorough understanding of tooling, cycle time optimisation and machining technology. As a CNC Lathe Programmer / Setter, you must possess a methodical approach and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Self-motivated and reliable, you must have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Experience of Doosan and/or Miyano lathes would be beneficial.
