Our client, a leading Waterford based manufacturing company currently has a vacancy for an Operational Excellence Specialist to enable continuous process improvement. As an Operational Excellence Specialist you will use Six Sigma, Lean tools and techniques to analyse business processes and identify project opportunities. This will include leading and executing technical process improvement projects e.g. OEE, lead time reduction, waste elimination and implementing standard lean methodologies and management systems e.g. standard problem solving, Visual factory etc. You will complete complex data analysis to improve processes and product capability and generate rationale and associated statistical analysis to support proposed process improvements. As the site expert on industrial engineering studies you will also be reponsible for analysing manning loading and determining the most cost effective direct manning of standard work. As an Operational Excellence Specialist you will facilitate lean workshops, promote and engage lean culture. You will also develop and deliver lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma training and work with manufacturing to instill a lean manufacturing ethos. The Person. Third level qualification in Science or Engineering. Six Sigma Certification to minimum Green Belt, Black Belt preferred. Strong technical competence and comprehensive understanding of manufacturing technologies in a high volume regulated environment. Project Management experience. Experience with execution of LEAN and/or Six Sigma process improvements. Experience in contributing to a lean transformation/change management. Knowledge of advanced statistical tools and experience in analysing process performance based on data.
