Description

Our client, an established manufacturing company are looking for an Quality Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a highly successful business environment based in Waterford. The Role: • Monitor Process Capability on shop floor from all areas. • Validate data. • Ensure compliance. • Maintain records for report and auditing. • Record all customer complaints through Quality Manager – visit if necessary. • Record and follow up all supplier non-conformances – visit if necessary. • Record and follow up all internal non-conformances. • Participate in Corrective and Preventative action procedures – conduct 100% inspection, if necessary. • Maintain records for report and auditing. • Conduct and or assist in Internal Audits as per schedule. • Conduct Supplier audits, if necessary. • Maintain records for report and auditing. • Participate in Six Sigma / Lean improvements projects. • Lead your own Six Sigma / Lean projects as required. • Manage Calibration system. • Conduct inhouse calibration as required. • Maintain records for report and auditing. • Prepare Quality Reports for weekly and monthly management meetings. • Prepare Quality Reports for annual management review. • Carry out PPAP, FAI or dimensional report for all new or revised products. • Liaise with customer to ensure concessions etc are documented and approved. • Participate in company training programmes as required. • Train other personnel in quality related issues or equipment. • Assist or lead quality presentations to management, customers or suppliers. • Visit customers or suppliers to investigate or resolve quality issues. • Escalate issues to the Quality Manager as required. • Any additional responsibilities and duties which may from time to time deemed suitable by your manager. The Person: • Diploma/Degree in a manufacturing related discipline desirable. • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role essential. • ISO Auditor experiences an advantage. • Lean/Six sigma experience desirable. • Fluency in English essential. • Must be adaptable and flexible in relation to working hours and the type of work that will be undertaken. • Must have a positive “can do” attitude and be energetic and enthusiastic. • Must possess good investigation skills and be persistent. • Must be competent in understanding engineering drawings and specifications. • Must be competent in use of inspection equipment to verify drawing requirements.
