Our Dungarvan based client is looking for a General Manager to successfully manage their bar/restaurant/nightclub. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is driven and thrives in the hospitality industry. It will be a demanding role so you will need lots of energy, drive, creativity and initiative. The ideal candidate will have: Previous restaurant/bar management experience is essential. Previous nightclub/late night bar experience would be an advantage. Excellent people management and customer service skills. The skills to successfully build and run a business. Be hands on; lead and work with the team on a daily basis. Must be energetic and motivated and have an understanding of the hospitality industry. Be a people person and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail from a service and HACCP perspective. Experience in dealing with challenging working environments, working in a deadline driven environment and examples of trouble shooting and coming up with solutions. A proven track record in planning and putting strategic plans in place. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. The role: Report to owners on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis (generate and present reports to include but not limited to sales, food costs, labour costs. Ensure the business and personnel are in compliance with all standards of safety, hygiene and overall presentation. Maintain close contact with customers and be aware of overall customer satisfaction. Maintain a high standard of service throughout all aspects of the business. Closely monitor and manage fixed and variable costs of the business. Continue to prepare and implement periodic business plans / budgets.
