Legal Counsel – Global Contracts & Compliance

Our client, a highly successful US multinational based in Limerick city, are now actively seeking an in-house Legal Counsel to join their global legal & compliance team.

The Job :

Due to a global restructure, our client has now created this new role to be based in Limerick but with a global remit. Primary responsibilities will be for managing legal relations with the global distribution & partner network, managing a team of Contract Managers, negotiating/drafting complex agreements & leading projects regarding all aspects of ethics, compliance & regulatory duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

• Effectively manage global distributor & partner contracts.
• Lead & manage the Contract Management team.
• Draft, review & delivery complex commercial contracts & negotiation documents.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal/regulatory issues.
• Create & enforce legal compliance & ethical guidelines for use both internally & with external partners.
• Conduct on-going project update meetings.

Skills/Experience Required :

• Qualified solicitor.
• 3rd level degree in Law or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in an in-house legal/compliance role ideally in a multinational or large scale corporate environment.
• Proven understanding of regulatory & legal frameworks.
• Excellent people & project management experience.
• High level verbal & communications ability.
