Job Title Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Description

Hartley People are looking to recruit a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for an exciting opportunity with a Waterford based company.

The Role:

  • Supporting & leading as required new product introduction (NPI) initiatives through advanced product quality planning (APQP).
  • Lead/Support cross functional Technical Risk Assessments/FMEA’s when implementing process changes.
  • Project management, design, evaluation & execution of sites Annual Operating Planning (AOP) & Strategic Engineering projects, offering innovative solutions to technical problems.
  • Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing process issues & be a key driver of Change/ Process Optimisation using Six Sigma/DMAIC Methodology.
  • Driving continuous improvement activities in the value stream including unit cost management, quality measures and productivity.
  • Supporting & Management of sites technician group to meet daily key process indicators.

The Person:

  • 3rd level Engineering/Technology Honours Degree qualification is essential. A Masters qualification would be an advantage.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or other Lean Manufacturing Qualifications a distinct advantage
  • 5 years+ experience working in high pace manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD packages (i.e. AutoCAD, Solid Works).
  • Demonstrate strong previous experience in project management.
  • Ability to manage projects and changing priorities; make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Display strong process validation & documentation management.
  • Proficient time management skills with the ability to close initiatives & actions on time and within budget.
  • Ability to deal confidently with internal and external customers and suppliers at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong working knowledge of lean systems (5,s,Visual Mgt, Total Productive Maintenance, Standardize work, SMED, Process Design for Flow, etc).
  • Strong working knowledge (APQP, Tool Design, PPAP, PFMEA,DFM, ISO 9001)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to be proactive and must be result orientated.
  • Strong working knowledge of MsOffice .
