Responsibilities: Primary responsibility of keeping the IT infrastructure of the Enterprise aligned with the business goals and agile processes for the organisation. Evaluation of critical infrastructure, Service improvement for existing IT Assets, Accessing Infrastructure interdependencies and risk analysis for complex adaptive systems, propose alternative technologies for hosting environments to management. Design, Implement and support of large scale, highly fault tolerant, 24x7 Data connectivity for and among a. SAP, b.PIMS c.BOS & d. QMAS. Management of IT infrastructure and Operational Support for servers, blade chassis, storage arrays & clusters, FC switches. Implementation, Operational Sustenance & admin of virtualization layer. Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management of the company’s Communications' core data networks. Effectively manage OPEX and CAPEX budget. Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving Technical problems within a very limited time-frame to maintain the maximum availability. Recognises problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations, determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits. Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls, maintains quality service by following organisation standards. Job Content: Knowledge of New Technologies, IT Infrastructure Training, Implementation Experience. Core network technologies including Internet connectivity, WAN/MPLS/MSA/IPVPN services. Cisco network and security products (VPNs, switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, load balancing) Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations General Knowledge of best practices with Telephony Switch networks Mobile and fixed line Voice technologies. Application servers including IIS and Apache, Microsoft SQL server 2008 and Share Point environment. Ownership of IT infrastructure roadmaps across all. infrastructure components – server, storage, OS including virtualisation, security, database, network, and physical environment. As Infrastructure Architect maintain a level of expertise in all current technologies used by the organisation, as well as those which are likely to be considered for future use, these include: Server Hardware from major vendors (HP, IBM and/or Dell. Virtualisation technologies from VMware and other leading vendors. Back up technologies from VEAM. High throughput, low latency storage solutions. Fibre-channel storage for major vendors (IBM, HP. Logging, monitoring, alerting, reporting, backup and trending frameworks. Operating Systems – SCO Unix, Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 & Linux. Expert Level experience in the following technologies: VMWare vSphere, ScoUnix, Linux, Mac OS. Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS. Good understanding of server hardware and ability to troubleshoot HW related issues. Understanding of Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, Group Policy, DNS, firewall, link aggregation, vlan trunking). Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment. Willingness and ability to provide guidance and mentoring to others. Develop, manage and grow effective cross-functional working relationships. Work is largely project related, focused on system improvement/Sales Improvement and feedback to Senior Management. Excellent problem solving skills , Documentation skills, written and verbal communications skills. Performing regular system checks, corrective actions and publishing results, Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources. Operation and maintenance of DTV, Voice and Data service delivery platforms. Participate in department-level planning and strategy development processes. Develop a results-driven culture within Networks, Projects & Sales. Experience with designing, implementing and supporting scalable, complex, distributed environments. Good understanding and ability storage concepts (NAS, SAN, access protocols). Expert level knowledge of scripting & shell languages: Power Shell, Kix32. Role Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Computer System Management / Certification in Networking & Optical Communications. 5+ years directly related experience in a telecommunications service provider network & Global Enterprise WAN environment. Certification or training in Microsoft ,VMWARE, CCNA. Strong business Understanding in Pharma and Hospital Industry will be preferable. Knowledge of Project Management and Experience in 2+ Live WAN Implementation. A team player who has the ability to motivate others, while getting the job done.
